I was very excited to apply to the company, but as the interview process unfolded I became very dissuaded. Via email, they demand a typing test and basic computer literacy test. It's insulting, almost as if they're implying the talent pool is inept. I think it's a form of corporate "negging". They're aggressive and rude after that, asking inane questions - in particular, "What do you like to do for fun?" You might have applied for the Admin Assistant position - it honestly doesn't seem like there's any difference between Admin Asst. v. Portfolio Mgr., at least in terms of pay. Personally, I'd take the Admin Asst. because it seems the Portfolio Mgr. position is more demanding for not much more money. They told me over the phone their office was in West LA, but asked me to interview all the way in Sherman Oaks. The in-person interview itself was lackluster. The office is stocked with junk food, and there wasn't anyone to greet me or a waiting area. I sat in the break room. The room seemed like a corporate farm, everyone seemed depressed. The two men who interviewed me were very unprofessional. They seemed less like managers and more like background characters in the movie "Clerks". They weren't dressed professionally, they didn't hold themselves professionally, nor did they conduct themselves like management. I wouldn't trust them with a $20 bill, let alone a single unit. Worse than anything, both seemed to have an incredible disdain and, I would say, hatred, for their clients. They would inquire how I hoped to positively contribute to the services they provided but would laugh in a derisive manner at how "beneficial" this would be. They truly seemed to hate their jobs and their clients. Most of my responses were met with an almost mocking attitude as if I was naive to want to contribute positively to the company's mission. I'll leave you with one of the last things I remember the two interviewers telling me. They ALWAYS have these positions posted on Craigslist & Indeed. They claim it's because the company is "always growing", but I believe it's because there is no upward trajectory or real growth opportunity with them. It seems like a grindstone, a drill-and-kill-firm, so to speak. Based on other reviews, my personal experience, and the general air of the office, I would NOT recommend AllstateHOAmgmt as a firm for employment, or management.

Interview was more of a conversation than an intense interview. Met with a couple people in management at the same time. They were very nice, one asked all the questions.
