Initially had a resume screening with a recruiter. Following this, I had an interview with two software engineers, which basically ended up being a resume screening as well. There were no difficult questions asked during the interview; I simply talked about experiences with programming and school. During the interview I asked what their biggest challenges were in terms of work (I meant in terms of programming/software), but both the engineers went off on tangents about management and poor work practices regarding the company. That made it a sort of awkward experience for me... never have had that during an interview. After this interview, I pretty much was ghosted for around two months (no responses to my several follow ups) until one day I was rejected. Overall, this was the worst part of my internship search.
