Phone interview with recruiter followed by an onsite interview with head of architect. The questions he asked were identical to AWS solutions architect interview questions. The challenge was his English - very difficult to understand to answer his questions properly. Its a very Chinese culture company - they PREFERRED someone who can speak Chinese. He even mentioned that Alibaba copies everything that AWS does - from hiring recruiters from AWS, create the ecosystems like AWS, organizing team like AWS. After completing the interview, Alibaba was not the right fit or the manager I would not want to work for.
