I got an interview through a referral. It was an HR zoom screen. The interview itself was average. Nothing too out of the ordinary. However, I received a rejection email literally 10 minutes after my interview with HR ended. Ok, so here's the deal. I get that sometimes there's a disconnect between the JD and the resume. It's fine to let me know this. No harm, no foul. We can even end the interview early. Don't waste 30 minutes of my time only to send me an obvious canned rejection.
