I went for a phone interview. I am sure I did well for the phone interview with the HR. However, I was told that they needed to concentrate on existing candidates. So why waste my time in the first place. They have this online test and the selection is crap!

The interview is fast and Human Resource manager did a fantastic job in aligning my expectation and the requirement for this position. Did 2 online psychometric tests. Flew down before CNY for final round of interview. HR gave me a warm welcome and I just love the place the moment I step into the office. Nice beautiful office and colorful lightings and decors, which was within my expectation for a technology company. The hiring manager was very lovely and friendly, she shared with me the Agoda’s culture, and even introduced to me all the interviewers. Immediately, I feel that this is a big family and I wish I could join them and embrace changes together. Coincidentally, the next interviewer used to be my senior in my master’s program. I am thankful to the hiring manager for showing great hospitality by arranging a welcome lunch with me and my direct reports. The credit controller was very friendly as well, I didn’t expect that someone who stayed in the company for more than 10 years is so humble, we discussed a lot on coaching stuffs. Lastly, my hiring manager had a 40 minutes coffee session with me. Overall, this experience to be interviewed in Bangkok is a lifetime experience for me. Thank you Agoda for providing me such a good learning opportunity.

Lousy. I had a terrible experience. The first interview was with the local HR in Bangkok. She informed me that I needed to do an online test. The reason was that they didn't want a bias selection for their candidate. The test was quite a length, be prepared to spend about 4-5 hours on the test. After I completed the online test, I was told that I have to go through an interview with the hiring manager, thereafter, there is another proctor online test. I wonder if the selection career is worse than Facebook/ Google. However, the hiring manager did not like me and I did not proceed to the next round. Overall, it is a waste of time as they have super high expectations of the candidates! This job was first posted on Q3 2017, and they still have not hired anyone for this position yet. If the prospective candidate see this, it is still not to late to withdraw.
