A financial planner recently moved here from the UK, I went to an interview with Aflac in Boston, MA, knowling little about the company. What attracted me was the company benefits aspect - having had experience setting up large corporate schemes in the UK, (pension, life etc.) Firstly, there was no interview, it was a group presentation where they sold the company to me in a room with 20+ people. Aflac do purerly ancialliary benefit schemes (no bad thing), but is 100% commission only sales role - not at all to do with setting up of company schemes. The next stage in interview process was to register interest for a 1:1 'chat'. (I did not as the job was somewhat misrepresented to me.)
