      Entrevista

The phone interview process was unique as the Company Manager made it a point that he was a Type A individual, and after speaking with him, it was clear, he ruled the roost. I explained some reasoning behind my leaving a company, explained my current status and why I was looking for a change. For myself, I thought the phone interview went quite well, at the end of the phone interview lasted 45+/- minutes. Then I was called for the in-person interview and again it was made clear by his mention of being a Type A personality and the conversation solidified his statement. With the in-person interview, he once again drilled me on my work history, why I had left a company and had notes, that aligned with what I told him on the phone. I also made it clear that I had some not-so-nice encounters with a couple of businesses for unethical practices and when we were done, I provided my list of references and left. A few days later I started hearing from my references - all 11 of them, that the Manager had called them. It was apparent I was being seriously considered for the position. I then received the offer and with that. there were a lot of inconsistencies and hiccups to the offer that were similar to the reasons I had told him I left other companies. So I sat down and countered hit offer with one I had hoped to discuss, as I was courteous enough in providing supporting reasoning to my counter-offer request. This was a Friday, so on Monday he called and left a v-mail for me to call him. When I did he acted like I was demanding the things I had written as negotiation points and was hoping to talk openly with him about them. But he had no intention to do so, he simply rescinded the offer and we were done. There are always those times you think, dang, I just dodged a bullet - this was one of those times.

      Pregunta 1

I guess his point about him being a Type A personality and my ability to work in "his environment was a statement/question.
