Me postulé a través de una recomendación de un empleado. Acudí a una entrevista en Adobe (Bucarest, ) en abr 2021
Entrevista
There were 5 interviews all online, of witch 2 were technical interviews and 3 with managers and HR. The process took 2 weeks but at the end I never got a reply.
The technical interviews targeted both algorithms (trees, stacks, strings, matrices etc.) and very specific language quirks (PHP & JS).
The soft skills interviews with the foreign managers (from France and US) were very nice, I felt I head a good repour with them.
The technical skills and soft skills interview with the Romanian people felt very uncomfortable, like they were trying to catch me with something I don't know or I'm not prepared for.
Although the position was for a developer, because of my experience as a technical lead, they insisted on the management skills, but they were not considering me for a management position, because I asked.
They had the classic "gives us the dirt on you" or "lie to us to pass this" type of questions at the "soft skills" interview. I probably did not pass that because I was sincere.
Technical interviews were held by people that had nothing to do with the department the position was for, so they were generic questions, but as I asked, to be considered for another position I have to start the interview process all over again. No thanks!
Indian recruiter calling from india who have no technical knowledge, were asking system design questions to me. Worst experience. When i asked about the team or product then recruiter couldn't explain that.
A series of interviews gauging API design, System Design, behavioral and computer science fundamentals. There was 4 interviews total. Two were virtual Two in person. Overall it was a very positive experience. It took almost 2 and a half months

This was for a role on the Adobe Firefly product. I spoke to the recruiter twice via Teams (both times their camera was off -- if you're going to schedule a video call, turn your video on maybe). The recruiter barely asked meaningful questions. I'm not sure if I was even fully qualified for this position but they pushed me through. The next step was a technical assessment in which I faced one of my greatest fears: being rejected mid-interview.

The recruiter only cared if I was able to work in the US and if I was comfortable working hybrid. The technical screen was to debug an application and apparently I "wasted" 5-10 minutes before looking in the correct place for errors. (God forbid someone is nervous during an interview and takes 5-10 minutes to get their bearings.)
