I was informed about 2 rounds of technical interviews and if required, 3. Also, hike was informed to me as 15-20% on current CTC, which we can negotiate later.
During the first round, I was asked to turn on camera and share screen- fair enough. But the panel was unprofessional enough to not turn on their camera as well to make it a comfortable discussion.
After clearing, I had second round of interview. Again, the panel didn’t care to turn on their camera.
Now for the role of Technical Lead specifically for Full Stack NodeJS, they kept asking questions on Java, Spring Boot, Python, DB, system design etc.
NodeJS + System Design is fine but every organisation has different teams dedicated and having expertise in its fields like db.
All this for unjustifiable hike of 15-20% on current CTC, honestly I earn more than their hike based on total compensation that I receive.
Again, they did not care to inform about not proceeding forward until I reached out to them.
Please guys, first of all - have a basic understanding a a single person will not know everything - else they won’t go for just a Technical Lead designation but for CTO.
Second - keep your cameras ON as well.
Third - Ask questions based on JD and not randomly as if Principal Engineer level.
Also, if this is just to show that you have vacancy but you actually do not- refrain from wasting other people’s time.
