Me postulé a través de una agencia de empleos. El proceso tomó 1 día. Acudí a una entrevista en Acturis

      Entrevista

I applied through a recruitment agency but my CV was rejected. So I thought I'd take a gamble and send my CV via email and then they called me down for an interview within a week. They start you off with a 30 minute test which has 23 questions. 6 of these are comprehension questions regarding a page-long science article. Another 6-7 of these are data sufficiency questions (which I had not ever seen before but are super easy and maths related) and then the rest are Maths questions (not like the SHL ones; no graphs to read, but really basic with topics like ratios, percentages, absolute values e.g. which has bigger absolute value, -2 or 1 etc.). No calculators are allowed but all the questions are multiple choice and the numbers are fairly easy to work with. I completed the Maths and Data Sufficiency questions within 10 minutes and spent 20 minutes on the comprehension as it is a bit more difficult and very "sciency". If you do not meet their requirement in this, they send you home at this stage. They leave you in the room alone to do the test and then come back and collect the test and tell you to wait. I waited for about 25 minutes with no contact and then a man from the Web Analyst team (I applied for Technical Business role) walked in. He explained to me what the company did and then started an XML case study. So first he gave me an XML code and asked me to explain what it was. I hadn't used XML since I was a child, but it looked fairly easy. I was able to identify what it was and what all the tags were for. Then he gives you a second task, which is to design the XML code(on a piece of paper) for a menu, which even I managed to do without remembering anything about XML. Then the last case study I got to do was creating the XML code for the form box from their website. I couldn't get to grips with the concept that XML did nothing but just set out structure and store/transport data. So when there was a drop down box to create, my mind went straight to things like OR function to display various options, and the IF function to check if an option was selected in the mandatory box, and count characters function to see if categories like Forename and Surname had been filled in. But they didn't want the codes that did all of this. They just wanted an XML code that would be used for storing data. He then asked me a couple of questions regarding my CV, past work experiences and current applications which was revolved around actuarial roles. After a 5 minute break, I was told that I was not going to be offered a role as he felt I was better suited to actuary with my mathematical background than the IT nature of the company. This was probably a fair assessment. The offices are really nice but the day felt a bit disorganized with large waiting times, being left by yourself. I feel sorry for anybody travelling in for this role outside of London as they do not reimburse you. Luckily I'm in London.

Two stages, both general interview questions with a technical portion going through a case study. The first stage included 3 maths/logic based questions. Both interviewers were professional and I felt relaxed going through the case study with them.

Two interviews, each consisting of some general CV review and 'why this company, why this role' etc, some GMAT questions that you will have already done in the online test and a case study in either SQL, XML or neither. Depending on the interviewer they will talk you through the case study sometimes giving you the answer, or they will not help you as much and watch your process. Having two interviews means that the chances are in your favour of getting a good interviewer.
