I think they where just watching how do you perform and work in a team and your problem soliving attitude. Second Interview: More technical, but in a high level degree. Question about problem solving and general working attitude skills. Third Interview: More personal about your ambitions and what do you like to do. This is probably done to decide what kind of first project it's better for you.
