I had a phone interview for a recruiter position in Helsinki for a third company. After submitting the CV and cover letter, I was contacted for a phone interview after a couple of days. They called without notifying me first. The interview did not go great, but I was told they would let me know by the end of the week. I contacted them the following week, and they did not have any news for me. At the end of the third week, I received a rejection email stating that they chose candidates with extensive experience in HR and recruiting. Fair enough if you want candidates with experience, even if you claim no experience is needed for the job, but three weeks for a rejection based on this is way too much. If you have delays and can't move forward within the agreed time, you should notify all the candidates that are waiting for your contact. It shows respect and interest. Disappointed.
