A recruiter set up a phone screen directly with the manager. The manager seemed a little impatient to do this interview at the very beginning. I don't know, maybe they already had a better fill and just doing this because it's too late to cancel? Anyway, the interview questions were mostly a short list of trivial programming questions that seemed to be taken from some programming certification exam. As someone who uses this language a lot I certainly do not feel that you can gauge's someone's skills based on these few questions, nor does knowing one or two specific functions makes one a better programmer. But I guess this may be how interviews are typically like in India considering most people in this department are Indians?

It was a technical interview, took about 40 minutes, a brief introduction about the position about the position, then start asking SAS questions in data cleaning and MACROs, asked the most frequent used SAS function
