An agent approached me with the job. Two months ellapsed until the first skype interview taken place with the company’s hr manager, the reason is that the role description was changing and they said they were busy. I was calling the agent every week for an update but it was very hard to move forward. Its purely because of Asics was slow. After the first skype interview with asics’s hr manager I thought it will be better, quicker. Not. I needed to do another skype interview few weeks later with the head of VM and head of retail. Basically the role was in store vm position, in their new flagship store and my background was a lot senior than that, as I was a nationwide vm manager before. I had exact experience working with Asics and other sports brand in my previous role so I thought its a great match. But after few weeks when the second skype interview was done they said I won’t get the job because I’m more senior. I wasn’t happy and felt its unfair. They all knew since the beginning what is my background and i am senior. Why I needed to go through the procedure and wait for over 2 months to find out this? I don’t understand when clearly written in my CV what background i am from and then when not selected they say the reason is what was known since the process started. I just simply feel is lack of respect, and unprofessionalism.
