They wanted to bring me on a paid trial after a successful phone and in person interview but did not want to discuss the pay for either the work trial or the position even after I was offered the role. Right after the end of the in-person interview, I was handed a document to sign which included an agreement clause that it was up to their discretion if they choose to pay at all (in small writing). I did not sign as this request is unprofessional and quite odd for the luxury real estate development industry in Los Angeles which I have an extensive background in. Hope this helps give some insight to those in the high-end architectural field.
