I was being called by a headhunter who explained me the role and its challenges. I went on interview and met the MD of Belgium. After receiving a cup of coffee I entered his office, which was a total mess. Like a bomb had exploded. I sat down on the chair at the sitting table and he started behind his laptop on his desk working and half interviewing me. I asked him if he could join me at the sitting area and the interview could continue. It was a very poor and poorly prepared interview. I was shocked by the level of incompetence. Apart from him showing off how great he was he was continuously mocking my current employer, I did not came for that. After he told his story and challenges I asked him some questions, because the numbers did not add up. Seems to me he was also lying about his achievements. I was baffled about the poor quality of the interview and the large ego of this person. Very negative experience.
