      Entrevista

I applied on LinkedIn, then about a week later I got an email from the Head of People asking me to select multiple time slots, so I did. About two weeks went by and I didn’t hear a word. I even sent an email, but still no confirmation, so I just turned the page and carried on living my life and applying to other jobs. Then, hours before one of the slots I had given them, they sent me an email asking me to confirm and join, so I did. During the call, the interview felt off... fake, almost like the person was going through the motions. She said she “helps the recruiter during lunch sometimes with interviews...” Then we talked about casual stuff, weather, homes in the USA, location, etc. Anyway, I gave my rundown of who I am and my experience, then she asked some cookie-cutter questions related to working with developers, how I explain designs to folks who don’t know design, why I want to work there, working in ambiguity, etc. Basic stuff. I briefly walked her through my work, but she seemed disconnected the whole time. About 3/4 of the way through, she said, “Say this, not that... the CEO will like it,” which I thought was interesting. Then she said, “Look, you’re on for round 2, but make sure to check out the TikTok and basically say that you’re super passionate about what they do.” Honestly, it just felt way too casual and not like a real interview. To me, this felt like one of those “Reposted x hours ago” jobs you see these days, where companies want to impress investors by claiming growth or something else. It just... didn’t feel real. The whole process was way too sloppy. Later, I got an email saying, “After carefully reviewing your background, we will not be moving forward at this time.”
