The process moved along at a good pace; final phase was before a three-person panel that included a position peer from another state. This was preceded by a phone screening by an HR hiring specialist. There were three finalists, one of whom (though an experienced executive) seemed unqualified because the position requires a lot of hands-on work. I was tipped by a friend who knew the score that "rolling up your sleeves" and "teamwork" were keys to signify that I would be a fit.

The interview process is in 3-4 parts. The first interview is a brief walk through your résumé. The second interview is a lengthy phone interview with a direct manager/state director. The next interview is a panel interview of 5 people with a 30 minute exercise involved. The final interview was another, albeit more brief call with the state director. Very lengthy, and anxiety building process.

Professional, with a diverse hiring team. Not only was I comfortable, a job offer came the same day as the final interview round. The questions were good, no theoretical "what would you do questions." Mainly about my previous work and accomplishments and the ways I went about succeeding.
