      The interview process at AAAS was well-structured and thoughtfully designed, reflecting the organization’s reputation for excellence. Over the course of several conversations, I found the experience to be both engaging and informative, with each step offering clarity about the role and the broader mission of AAAS. The questions were tailored to the position and encouraged me to share not only my professional background but also my perspective on leadership and collaboration. Rather than feeling transactional, the discussions were conversational and allowed for genuine exchange. The CIO distinguished himself as a dynamic and forward-thinking leader, clearly invested in decisions that strengthen both the team and the organization. The HR team provided consistent support throughout—approachable, knowledgeable, and attentive to detail, which made the process smooth and transparent. Every staff member I met demonstrated intelligence, creativity, and a collaborative spirit. It was evident that AAAS values its people and fosters an environment where talent is nurtured and contributions are recognized. Overall, the process underscored AAAS’s commitment to integrity, inclusivity, and long-term organizational success.

      The questions asked during the AAAS interviews were well-considered and appropriate for the role. They focused on both technical expertise and strategic thinking, with an emphasis on how I approach collaboration, problem-solving, and organizational impact. Several questions explored my experience with cross-team collaboration, project/program/people management and aligning resources with long-term goals.
