This was maybe the most sketchy and ridiculous interview process I’ve ever been through. I had a friend who also received an offer and the CEO personally called her and told her the same exact thing. Here is a quote that he told both me and my friend: “(Unnamed employee) said you two were kindred spirits and she really went to bat for you. You owe her a whole pitcher of beer.” My friend was shocked to find out that he said the same thing to her. Kindred spirits? Really? All in all, you ask a specific question and they are going to completely circumvent the topic in its entirety. I genuinely feel bad for the people working for this “company” and hope they realize they are better than supporting a scam. In addition, compensation was abysmal. I hope that LinkedIn will ban them from posting jobs because it makes me sad how many people, including myself for a few minutes, believed this was legitimate.
