I recently had an interview at 4 Rivers Smokehouse for a front-of-house position, and overall, it was a really positive experience. I applied online through their careers page, and within two days, I got a call from the hiring manager to schedule an interview at the location I applied to. When I arrived, I checked in with the cashier and was asked to wait in a side area. The manager came out a few minutes later, greeted me with a smile, and we sat down in one of the dining room booths. The vibe was casual but professional—definitely less formal than a corporate interview, but still organized. The manager started by asking me about my previous work experience, particularly any customer service roles I’ve had. Then we moved into some situational questions like, “How would you handle a customer who was unhappy with their order?” and “Tell me about a time you had to multitask under pressure.” I gave examples from a previous restaurant job, and the manager seemed genuinely interested and even added how important it is to keep calm during busy dinner rushes. She also asked what I knew about 4 Rivers and why I wanted to work there. I talked about how I liked the company’s focus on community, hospitality, and quality food, and how I was looking for a team-focused, fast-paced environment.
