I was contacted by multiple in-house recruiters. The job descriptions seemed fuzzy and I was worried about reviews here and comments from others who have worked there that it's over-bureaucratized and one of the worse companies in the valley for Software Engineering. I figured, "Why not" and submitted an application.
A few days later, a phone interview was scheduled with a manager and developer in Connecticut. This baffled me. The claim was that they were taking the load off the people in Murray, Utah. I found that to be patently absurd, but went along.
The project was explained to, but the people in Connecticut knew next to nothing about it, so they couldn't answer most of my questions. The programming questions were all software and philosophical questions, like what is object oriented programming?
Days later, a live interview was scheduled. Unfortunately, I had a brain freeze and confused the time of the interview and arrived late. The person who greeted me was extremely rude and condescending and refused to accept my apology. Honestly, that told me everything I needed to know about the company. I suppose it told them what they needed to know as well. They want drones and I'm not a drone.
I had a single call that I presumed to be a standard 15 min recruiter call. Instead it goes on for almost an hour. Guy goes on and on explaining the product and project for over 20 minutes. By the time that is over, you already want to get the hell out. But then he asks you the most random questions for a senior role that in no way assess your skillset. Questions on useless topics like code coverage, do you do pull requests, do you use git. Questions like these show that 3M isn't a real tech company which makes sense. Recruiter reached out saying I wasn't a good fit and offered another role to interview for then got ghosted.

Entrevista
Overall straight forward interview. Both behavioral and technical questions. Be prepared to do a live coding exercise with enchantments. Make sure you know your resume and experiences very well. Process took about two weeks.

Entrevista
If asked for a phone interview, make sure you take it as seriously as an in-person interview. Many applicants get cut at this stage due to lack of attention or unprofessionalism. These interviews will only last 15 to 20 minutes, but will give the hiring manager a good idea about whether or not they want you to come in for an in-person interview.
