I had a very disappointing experience with 1X Technologies during the hiring process. After being told I was their top contender for the position, I was given a verbal offer along with a start date. I accepted, expecting the formal written offer to follow shortly after. Unfortunately, that formal offer never came. I reached out to the recruiter for three days in a row and received no response at all. Being told you have the job, given a start date, and then left without any communication is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to a candidate’s time and trust. I understand that hiring decisions can change, but clear and honest communication should be the bare minimum. Ghosting someone after extending a verbal offer reflects very poorly on the company’s recruiting process. Beyond disappointed.
