RESPONSIBILITIES:

a) Assist in gathering requirements from product owners and end-users, and provide support in clarifying specifications.

b) Collaborate closely with senior engineers and designers to contribute to the development and delivery of features.

c) Write code under supervision to implement components of the overall architecture design of web/backend/mobile applications.

d) Support in translating designs and wireframes into functional code, focusing on learning and mastering technologies such as React and Ruby.

e) Participate in code reviews, under guidance, to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

f) Assist in deploying and maintaining API endpoints and frontend features, with oversight from senior team members.

g) Contribute ideas and suggestions for system architecture improvements, and assist in updating documentation as needed.

h) Complete other assigned tasks as directed by supervisors, while actively seeking opportunities to learn and grow within the role.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must-have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Good knowledge of web development fundamentals
• Exposure to at least one of the following: JavaScript (React preferred), Ruby, or similar backend/frontend technologies
• Understanding of APIs, databases, and client-server architecture
• Ability to write and understand basic clean code under supervision
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced development environment
• Good communication skills in English

Nice-to-have:

• Internship or project experience in software development
• Familiarity with Git version control
• Exposure to REST APIs
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum workflows
