I. Company Introduction
Air China Limited, abbreviated as "Air China," is the national flag-carrier of the civil aviation company in China and a member of the Star Alliance, the world’s largest airline alliance. Air China served as the official air passenger transport partner for both the 2008 Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, making it the only domestic airline to partner with both Olympic events.
As of December 31, 2021, Air China (including its holding subsidiaries) operated a fleet of 746 aircraft, primarily consisting of Boeing and Airbus models, with an average aircraft age of 8.23 years. The airline operated 672 passenger routes, reaching 151 cities across 25 countries and regions. Through partnerships with Star Alliance members and other airlines, its services extend to 1,300 destinations in 195 countries and regions.
Air China Limited Johannesburg Office is a directly affiliated branch of Air China in South Africa. Since the launch of the Beijing–Johannesburg route on October 29, 2015, it has been operating in South Africa for nearly 10 years. The office is responsible for implementing the company’s strategic plans and directives, ensuring safe flight operations while continuously improving service quality and maintaining orderly and efficient operations. Currently, Air China is the only airline in South Africa that operates direct flights to mainland China.
II. Job Description
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (closed on South African public holidays)
Work Location: Johannesburg, South Africa – Design Quarter, Fourways
Job Requirements:
1. Must have South African Permanent Residency or South African ID.
2. Diploma education or above.
3. Must be physically fit to perform job duties and possess good mental health.
4. Good command of both Chinese and English, with strong listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. HSK Level 3 or above.
5. Strong learning ability, communication skills, and a spirit of teamwork.
6. Knowledge of Africa's history, geography, economy, and culture is preferred.
7. Ability to work on weekends and public holidays as required.
8. Prior experience in airline or travel agency ticketing is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide ticketing services, develop frequent flyer membership, and offer services for special passengers.
2. Maintain and train traditional channels such as travel agencies, collect market information, develop promotional products, and promote them through these channels.
3. Develop markets for business, tourism, education, labor, and family visits in Southern Africa, identify potential clients, and sign contracts with them.
4. Promote the Air China brand and products, collaborate with local partners for joint marketing efforts.
5. Other tasks as assigned.
Pay: R20 000,00 - R28 000,00 per month
