Job Title: H&E / H&F Network Support Technician – IDF Build Deployment

Job Summary

We’re hiring on-site H&E/H&F technicians for a short-term IDF build project in data center environments. Role is limited to hands-on installation, cabling, and physical verification. No configuration, troubleshooting, or ongoing support required.

Scope of Work

You’ll work in teams of 8-12 to deploy multiple Intermediate Distribution Frame [IDF] locations:

Core Tasks per IDF:

• - Rack and cabinet mounting of network infrastructure equipment
• - Deployment and routing of power, network, and fiber optic cabling
• - Installation and connection of RPDU cabling
• - Equipment patching and physical connectivity
• - Structured cable dressing, cable management, and labeling to project standards
• - Device placement/installation for designated hardware
• - Basic visual verification of installed connections
• - Maintain clean, organized installation practices
• *Deployment Order:* MGFX → T2 → Optical → RPDU Cabling

Deliverables

• - Completed physical installation of all assigned equipment and cabling per IDF
• - Proper cable management and labeling
• - Clean handover of installed IDF environments
• - Installation completion confirmation per location

Required Skills

• - 3+ years experience with rack & stack deployments in data centers
• - Understanding of structured cabling standards and best practices
• - Ability to read rack elevations, patching matrices, and floor plans
• - Hands-on with fiber optic and copper connectivity, hand tools, cable testers, labeling systems
• - Basic networking knowledge: switches, patching, port ID
• - Understanding of airflow management and cable containment
• - Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined data center spaces

Preferred Experience

• - Work in Microsoft, hyperscale, or other hyperscale data centers
• - IDF/MDF deployments
• - Hardware exposure: Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Dell, HPE, Supermicro
• - Familiarity with data center access controls and procedures
