We are looking for a Materials Buyer.
What will you do?
As a Materials Buyer, you will plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials throughout the production cycle. You will collaborate with customers, purchasing, production, and engineering teams to address new product releases and fulfill long-term customer needs. You will also prepare and manage the demand production schedule for a facility that serves multiple product lines and/or customers, ensuring efficient material flow.
How will you do it?
Material Planning: Develop and implement material plans to ensure timely availability of materials for production, minimizing downtime.
Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams including purchasing, production, and engineering to coordinate new product releases and address customer requirements.
Schedule Management: Prepare and manage the demand production schedule, ensuring alignment with production capabilities and customer expectations.
Supervision: Oversee materials coordinators and/or analysts, providing guidance and support to optimize material management processes.
What are we looking for?
A University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in materials planning or purchasing.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
Proficiency in relevant software for materials management and scheduling.
