Frontline Health Staffing is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to support a facility in their Rehab Therapy department. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist (RPT), the PTA will provide physical therapy services to patients by performing treatments as outlined in the Plan of Care and completing related documentation and communication, in accordance with Title 22 and applicable federal, state, and local standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide skilled rehabilitative services to patients and/or residents under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist
* Measure and record patients' motor function, strength, and muscle performance
* Assist physical therapists in developing and carrying out individualized treatment plans
* Treat patients using therapeutic techniques including stretching, massage, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound
* Assist patients with specific exercises and evaluate their ability to function independently
* Help patients with adaptive equipment and assistive devices such as walkers, braces, and prostheses
* Observe patients and write accurate, timely progress reports in compliance with state regulations and facility policy
* Report changes in patient condition to appropriate healthcare professionals
* Supervise PT Aides and Rehab Aides as assigned
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team
* Actively participate in mandatory case conferences and in-service training programs
* Contribute to program development, quality improvement, and departmental policy and procedure development

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Current California Physical Therapist Assistant license (or evidence that application for licensure has been accepted)
* BLS certificate required within six (6) months of hire
* Ability to function independently with flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with patients and staff
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Previous hospital and/or physical therapy experience
* Experience working with adult and geriatric populations, including ill, disabled, and elderly patients
* Strong supervisory and communication skills for departmental and interdepartmental relationships
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS
* Active California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license
* BLS certification (required within 6 months of hire)
ATTENDANCE
Regular and punctual attendance is required. Employee must follow all facility guidelines outlining standards of attendance and punctuality.
