AET Tanker Holdings is one of the largest operators of petroleum tankers in the Atlantic basin. The company maintains a fleet of more than 70 vessels, consisting mainly of Aframax tankers but also including VLCCs (very large crude carriers), product tankers, and shuttle tankers. Its fleet has an overall capacity of more than 8.5 million deadweight tons (DWT). In addition, AET specializes in providing lightering (short-haul ferrying of oil) in the Gulf of Mexico. It also offers voyage charters and time charters, and its fleet is active on Caribbean, Mediterranean, North Sea, transatlantic, and Asian routes. AET is a subsidiary of Malaysian shipping giant MISC.
