Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer with proven experience in construction project bidding, estimation, and mechanical systems implementation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, technical proposals, bid documents, and supporting project execution for mechanical works in construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, bill of quantities (BOQ), and bid proposals for mechanical works.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and tender documents.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and technical requirements.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site inspections, and clarifications.
• Prepare technical submittals and compliance documents.
• Review contract documents and identify project risks and opportunities.
• Assist project managers during project turnover and execution phases.
• Monitor project costs versus approved budgets.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, electrical engineers, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and bidding/estimation.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems.
• Experience in tender preparation and procurement processes.
• Proficient in:
• AutoCAD
• MS Excel
• Planswift or similar estimation software
• Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Work Environment

• Office and site-based work.
• May require travel for site inspections and project meetings.

Pay: Php30,000.00 - Php40,000.00 per hour
