UPS Mexico donated one ton of food to local GFN food banks on World Nutrition Day, as part of the globally organized "You CAN make a difference" campaign. In addition, UPS participated in three volunteer days to collect and pack food kits to deliver to vulnerable families in Mexico City, Monterrey and Puebla. For World Hunger Day, approximately 40 UPSers and family members volunteered in partnership with Bridge to Hope in Miami. The volunteers helped unload, sort and distribute food and basic necessities to families in our community. Happy Sandwich events delivered 558 lunch boxes to hospital areas in Mexico during Global Volunteer Months. 75 UPSers from Mexico City and Monterrey raised 10,940.00 pesos for the cause.
Celebrating diversity makes a difference. UPS is committed to being the change and making a difference. More than 100 UPSers, accompanied by their families and friends, wore our brown T-shirt during the XLV Pride March, held annually in Mexico City. Under the leadership of our community relations manager Erika Vargas, our participation was a success, marking a significant moment for UPS Mexico and Latin America. With our two bicycles and electric scooters, which we now use to deliver packages in the central area of the city, we took the lead towards a more inclusive and diverse future. Together, we celebrate love, equality and the LGBTQIAP+ community!
