Ventajas

Free Lunches and a great office location

Desventajas

The Executives were very poor at recognizing good talent and growing the right people. They were easily manipulated by word of mouth instead of digging deep to figure out supposed problems with employees or even business processes. Managers would not take the time to get to know the work/ or processes their employee were involved in but quickly made decisions regarding the processes. This is not good process improvement practice. There is a seriously lack of a team environment - when I work for a company I would expect all business units to work together to achieve goals ; Not sit and point fingers at who is not doing their job right. They failed to hire good project managers. Every project that was thought of and implemented failed and resulted in revenue and employee loss for the company.

Ventajas

I learned a lot during my two years at Insight. The management team is open to new ideas. During my time there my leadership skills improved.

Desventajas

Main downside was the benefits were not as good as some of the larger banks in Birmingham. I've heard the benefits are awesome now the Green Dot owns the company.

You have a job, not a good job, but a job

Desventajas

Where to begin...this company was owned by a man that had the most asinine idiosyncrasies that became part of the "corporate culture", For example, he had a rule that desks in the call center shouldn't have paper or anything to make the desks personal, but two rows over, in partner support, they could have photos, eat at their desks, pretty much everything goes. Management goes out of their way to find arbitrary reasons to fire people. They start making up conflicts, going through peoples chat logs, or they may decide they think a person is ugly and they're gone. To them, it's a joke. They won't keep quality staff, and the pay differentials are insane. They hire people in with no education, but so called sales experience at $14-$15 and they never produce results, but the people with education, or the proven sellers get $8-$10 with a pathetic $1 annual raise. If you are so called lucky to be promoted compliance, start marking off your calendar because you are almost assured to get fired within 6 months to a year, no matter how well you do your job. Promotions are few and far between and if you do get promoted, you are probably next to get fired.
