Ventajas
The perks are few, but flexibility in your schedule was nice.
Desventajas
Priorities are constantly shifting, as is who works on what. Projects that are promised forward motion are shelved indefinitely, and staff is rearranged frequently to further the current agenda, all for the sake of what brings in the most money. Quality control in content is utter chaos. The same things are re-edited time and again to fit the current tone, whether or not it is what the company (or alleged experts) actually believe. Having seen behind the curtain, I would not trust a single one of these articles to make any sort of informed decision on any purchase, not even something as trivial as a toaster. People's contributions are not valued, and favor is given to those who have been gifted their positions through nepotism or internal hiring. People are promoted to managerial positions who don't have the qualifications or experience to be promoted, while freelancers are not even making a competitive wage. More than one person described as a manager had only previously held an intern position, with no further employment history. An exorbitant amount of money is wasted on things like travel and bloating C-suite salaries instead of spreading the wealth and supporting the loyal staff they possess. Organization is non-existent. Documentation, process, and procedures aren't available either, so you have to create them yourself. Google Sheets are the norm, and everyone has their hand in everything, so nothing is updated or correct. Nothing is so sacred or important that people won't mess it up, delete it, or just move on from it without an explanation. At the same time, managers are oblivious to what you're actually working on, or what you're capable of achieving, because they just don't care. Some staff are verbally abusive to others to the point of them quitting. No job is worth someone belittling you to the point that you leave for your own well-being.
