I went higher than I thought they would go, (I asked for 95-5) with a low cap. Due to my sales volume in prior years, I did get an excellent split but had to negotiate for it. In order to keep that split and cap, I had to work and show that I could perform. Newer agents have the opportunity to start with a lower split but have a mentor for the first three deals or so. I highly recommend it because they will make more in the long run.
