It depends on the way you manage the interaction with the database, in case of ORM like hibernate you will need the hibernate libraries to be included in the project, your mappings, classes and your dao objects. But in the traditional way, I mean JDBC, the classes needed are in the java.sql package and are Connection, Statement, DriverManager, ResultSet and of course you will need to include you JDBC Driver in the libs of your project.
