When I tried to move past surface-level PSR knowledge — which is frankly enough for professional devs using proper tooling — I was told I ‘should know them in depth.’ At that point, it became clear that they were testing academic memory, not real programming skill. Ironically, the ‘important part’ of the interview — actual coding, architecture, real-world scenarios — never even came.
