I had a very angry resident that threatened my life. I was able to call for back up as well as calm him down for a moment. He began to get hostile again, I explained to him that he would need to take a breath before things became so escalated that authorities would need to be involved.

Address the issues. Be sympathetic to the customer. Express your resolution. Follow up with the customer. Escalate if needed.
