I was given a case study involving several business units, each using different on-premise data systems. The goal was to consolidate all data into a new analytics platform built on Databricks and migrate the reporting layer to Power BI. I explained that I would begin by assessing data sources and dependencies across business units, designing a scalable data ingestion and transformation framework in Databricks, and establishing clear validation and testing processes. I also highlighted the importance of governance, documentation, and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure data consistency and a smooth transition.
