How do you process millions of Oracle AP Invoices ? What is the most efficient way ?

I said I would use Oracle AP Open Invoices Interface to load the invoices and I said I would do that in several batches. I also said that if give other tools like EDI Gateway or BPEL, I would use them for loading staging tables.
