My answer was "to whom am I speaking to?". Honestly, in UX especially , your audience matters for how you present an answer - for business, they may only want to know if something will work with their business model, for developers, they may only want to know what's required of them, and how long it might take to implement. You manager may only want an estimate on your time. In short, I felt explaining complex topics are for academics trying to teach a class, my goal is to solve problems facing the stakeholders around me.
