How was I supposed to demonstrate my ability to understand code and investigating bugs? I seem to recall being asked one question about this, and only during the technical interview. And, it was not asked with the kind of context that suggested the question was important, or with the intent to understand my troubleshooting process. I pride myself on being able to figure things out in many different ways, and it's regularly cited as one of my strengths. This feels like an assumption that's not based on reality. This is something I excel at, and something GitLab's values suggests is important to the organization in the form of tenacity (under "Results").
