I explained I let the client rant until they felt they've said all they need to and once they've done that, I try to recap what they're telling me and ask for clarification on points I don't understand. I let them know that all efforts will be made to resolve the issue to the best of their understanding. I ensure that the customer feels that they are being listened to.
