I used the flipped classroom method to help a student named Seun, who was struggling to keep up with new vocabulary. Instead of teaching the words for the first time in class, I sent home a PowerPoint with pictures, simple sentences, and practice exercises. I made sure to get his parents on board so they could support him while he looked through it at his own pace. By the next class, Seun already knew the material. We didn't waste time on the basics; instead, we did matching games and speaking activities. It was great to see him identifying words and even making his own sentences. This method really boosted his confidence because he didn't feel rushed, and it showed me how powerful it is when students come to class prepared to actually use what they've learned.
