No, I don't believe it was fair, because there are several type of developers and it looks like they are only looking for one single type, which is the fats coders. Fast coders does not translate into quality code. Through my career I worked if fast coders and very slow coders, and what I can say, I'm somewhere in the middle. I just take a little more to think on the solutions, I just hate to throw code just to get things done, I like to think about it and reuse the max I can, so I avoid bugs and future issues. They reject me because of a 15 minutes coding session, they just ignored everything else.
