EPS is called as Earning per share which means total Earnings available for equity shareholders devided by the actual number of equity shares. Where as Diluted EPS means total earnings available for equity shareholders divided by total number of equity shares which includes potential equity shares. Here potential equity shares means debentures, bonds and preference shares which are convertible and can get converted into equity shares.
