I answered that I was very comfortable, 10/10. The atmosphere was light and friendly and I assumed they would take this as simply my "comfort" and not my knowledge of the language. They did not like this answer, however, and it was the main reason they chose someone else. The recruiter told me they chose a candidate who answered 3/10, because this was an entry level position and felt that person answered more truthfully.
