The University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP) Mexico Study Center is seeking a motivated and student-focused Program Assistant for a temporary summer position supporting UCEAP students studying in Mexico City. This short-term opportunity offers valuable, practical experience supporting U.S. university students in an international academic and cross-cultural setting.
The Program Assistant plays an important role in helping students successfully adjust to life and study in Mexico City while supporting cultural programming, student engagement, and day-to-day study center operations. The Program Assistant works closely with the Program Manager to provide general student support, assist with orientations and cultural activities, and help maintain a welcoming and supportive environment for UC students abroad.

Desirable: Strong professional English and Spanish verbal and written communication skills, typically equivalent to CERF level C1 or higher; Higher education administration experience in the field of study abroad; Experience studying, working, or living abroad; Knowledge of the structure and organization of U.S. higher education; Experience planning events such as student orientations; Experience making appropriate referrals to support services, including health and counseling.
