Experienced Window & Door Estimator (Aluminium and UPVC)

Hours: 40 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Friday: 8:00am - 2:30pm
CB Solutions U.K. Ltd provides innovative solutions to the construction; modular and bespoke building industries. specialising in the off-site assembly of;
1) Architectural aluminium fabrications of windows, doors and curtain walling
2) Timber fire door-sets and screens
3) UPVC fabrications of windows and doors
We are now looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join our busy estimating department, specifically estimating Aluminium and UPVC windows, doors and curtain walling.
About the role
- Accurately take off details from client drawings to formulate a tender within the specified timescales.
- Advising clients of our systems technical capabilities
- Prepare and advise clients on wind loadings, barrier loadings and general product compliance in line with Building Regulations.
- Communicating with prospective customers throughout and suggesting value engineering options where possible.
- Ensuring pricing software is updated and maintained.
- Liaise with the client's representatives such as Quantity Surveyors, Architects, Commercial and Construction Managers as well as Site Agents throughout the tender process.
- Processing of secured works to include but not limited to fabrication tickets, preparation of BOMs.
- Conduct handover meetings of secured works to the operations department.
About You
- Must be Computer literate, in particular on, Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of pricing and estimating software such as Logikal is desirable.
- The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of pricing Aluminium and or UPVC, windows, doors and curtain walling packages up to project values of £2million.
- The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of Building Regulations particularly Part F (ventilation), Part N (Glazing) Part Q (Security), Doc M (access into buildings) Doc B (fire safety) and Doc L (building efficiency).
This is a permanent position within a busy estimating department based at our site in Lissett, YO25 8PT.
