Magna Powertrain is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to drive digital transformation initiatives across manufacturing and engineering operations at our plant in Ramos Arizpe.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications, integrating multiple systems such as ERP platforms, industrial systems, and cloud services. You will work across both frontend and backend layers, ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability of production-ready solutions.
This is a high-impact position with direct collaboration with cross-functional teams across all areas of the business, supporting key digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications (frontend and backend) for industrial and corporate environments.
- Build and integrate APIs to enable communication between enterprise systems (ERP, industrial platforms, cloud services).
- Design scalable and maintainable architectures (monolithic and microservices).
- Ensure application reliability through proper error handling, logging, and monitoring.
- Work with SQL databases and data pipelines to process, transform, and expose data.
- Integrate data from multiple sources including APIs, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and industrial platforms.
- Deploy and maintain applications in cloud environments (preferably Azure or Aws).
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and manage environments (DEV, QA, PROD).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business needs.
- Troubleshoot production issues, resolve critical errors, and implement improvements without impacting operations.
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards related to security, code quality, and governance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Information Technologies, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in full stack development within industrial, manufacturing, or corporate environments.
- Proven experience delivering production-ready solutions (not only PoCs or academic projects).
- Experience working with cross-functional and global teams.
- Strong backend development skills using technologies such as Python, Node.js, .NET, or Java.
- Strong frontend development experience using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs (design, consumption, versioning).
- Experience with SQL databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL) and data modeling.
- Experience with version control tools (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP is a plus).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, environment management, and configuration handling.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle production incidents.
- Advanced English proficiency (required).
Preferred Skills
- Experience integrating with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and industrial data sources.
- Experience in Industry 4.0 or digital manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and microservices architectures.
- Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
- Experience building solutions for dashboards or data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Grafana).
