As a Senior Research Analyst, you will be part of Kearney’s Insights Studio team, which provides research and analytical support to Kearney consultants globally. Within Insights Studio, you will join the Private Equity & Principal Investors (PEPI) team, supporting commercial due diligence, portfolio strategy, value creation, and transaction-related engagements across a broad range of industries. You will play a critical role in helping consulting teams and investors make informed decisions by delivering high-quality research, financial analysis, and actionable insights. This position is based in Kearney's Mexico City office and follows a hybrid work model. Team members are expected to work from the office 1–2 days per week to support collaboration, team engagement, and business needs, with the remaining days worked remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Analysis

Work closely with consulting teams to refine and focus research objectives and project requirements.

Determine the most appropriate, cost-effective, and timely research approaches and solutions.

Gather and evaluate information from a broad range of market, industry, company, and transaction intelligence sources.

Disaggregate and structure complex requests, identifying alternative approaches when appropriate.

Extract key insights and implications from data through financial analysis, benchmarking, and established business frameworks.

Organize, analyze, and synthesize findings into clear, accurate, and client-ready deliverables.
Commercial Due Diligence & Investment Support

Support commercial due diligence engagements through market sizing, competitor landscaping, customer analysis, and target company profiling.

Apply corporate finance concepts, including revenue builds, margin analysis, working capital assessment, and valuation multiple analysis.

Develop a strong understanding of industry dynamics and translate market developments into relevant investment implications.

Conduct investment-focused analysis to support transaction and value creation initiatives.
Stakeholder & Service Management

Build strong relationships with requesters through ownership, responsiveness, and a service-oriented mindset.

Meet established service levels for request handling, including scoping, prioritization, responsiveness, and timely delivery.

Maintain transparency regarding progress, resource requirements, and delivery expectations.

Knowledge Development & Collaboration

Hold an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field from a reputable institution.

Have 4–6 years of relevant professional experience in transaction support, commercial due diligence, investment analysis, research, or related analytical roles.

Demonstrate experience supporting commercial due diligence or transaction-related projects.

Possess a strong understanding of corporate finance fundamentals, financial statements, and valuation concepts.

Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous requests and identify practical solutions.

Can synthesize complex information into concise, client-ready insights and recommendations.

Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal stakeholders and project teams.

Thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, and service-oriented environment.

Are proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365, Word, and Outlook.
